After some more experiments with OpenAI's whisper & I continue being impressed! πŸ‘Œ
So impressed that I let my GPUs do some crunching over the wknd.
Tada, all subtitles (closed-captions) of the 170 vids in my DL course are whisper-based now πŸš€ https://t.co/8FhMfL6v3N

I'm impressed with this @fastdotai student project that managed to create a dataset and model from scratch to recognise 800 bird species.https://t.co/qOYGlVckNR pic.twitter.com/xpQSH2A6hD

MEGA is a new method for modeling long sequences based on the surprisingly simple technique of taking the moving average of embeddings.

Excellent results, outperforming strong competitors such as S4 on most tasks! Strongly recommend that you check it out: https://t.co/Y07MSd0hhc https://t.co/9xbmaF5XCr pic.twitter.com/pX01RctxDN

Population change in 2020 across Europe. Huge decline in Italy and Greece. Many regions in Germany boom despite widespread decline. Demographic challenges in Europe will get worse. Nice map by @milos_agathon. Map enthusiasts must follow him… pic.twitter.com/LpOMXRtw6M

Generally looks OK, but the low end os 'subsample' is way too low IMHO.

Here is an example of Optuna script that I often run for tuning of those parameters:https://t.co/Vm4KHqrk5J pic.twitter.com/uhvQrIY4vp

I’m happy to share the published version of our ConVIRT algorithm, appearing in #MLHC2022 (PMLR 182). In 2020, this was a pioneering work in contrastive learning of perception by using naturally occurring paired text. Unfortunately, things took a winding path from there. πŸ§΅πŸ‘‡ pic.twitter.com/CUwAZftKlV

We've trained a neural net called Whisper that approaches human-level robustness and accuracy on English speech recognition. It performs well even on diverse accents and technical language. Whisper is open source for all to use. https://t.co/ueVywYPEkK
