That people even have to debate whether statistics is better taught by psychologists or mathematicians is, for me, just more evidence that statistics is too damn hard.

On the flip side, if psychologists struggle to teach statistics correctly, how believable is it that psychologists will be able to use statistics correctly in practice? How would having mathematicians teach it solve that problem?
